Refund Policy:
  • There is no refund for failure to pass the exam with a minimum of 70%.
Expiration of Course Material:
  • The course must be completed within one year of registration.
  • Credit will expire if not used within 4 years of the final exam completion date.
Study Requirement:
  • You are required by the CalBRE to study one hour for every credit hour.
  • You are limited to eight (8) study hours per day. e.g. a 13 hour course will require 2 days of study.
Exam Requirement:
  • The exam cannot be accessed until the required study time has elapsed.
  • You will be required online to certify completion of the study time before taking the exam.
  • The online exam is multiple-choice and must be completed within the time allotted by the CalBRE.
    3-5 credit hour course =15 questions/15 minutes
    6-8 credit hour course =20 questions/20 minutes
    9-11 credit hour course =25 questions/25 minutes
    12-14 credit hour course =30 questions/30 minutes
  • You are limited to 15 credit hours of exams per 24 hour period.
  • You are required to provide a CalBRE acceptable form of ID immediately before the final exam is administered.
Grading/Retake:
  • The exam is graded online and Completion Certificate issued for the successful completion with a score of 70% or better.
  • Unanswered questions are marked as wrong.
  • If you do not pass the exam the first time, one retest may be taken at no additional charge. The retake exam is different from the initial exam.
  • If you do not pass either exam, you will need to purchase the course again and follow all the CalBRE requirements.
Exam Access Key:
  • Your purchase includes a unique exam access key for each course.
  • Your exam access key is assigned to your CalBRE license number and cannot be used by any other person.
  • The exam access key must be registered before taking the exam.

  2. Log in with your user name (email address) and password (CalBRE license number)
  3. Create an account if prompted to do so.
  4. Select the task you need to perform. (Register Key, Download PDF's; Take Exam; Print Certificate; Purchase re-take key etc.)
